2027 Main St Resurfacing & Improvements
Cortland Community Event and Education Space
- Redevelopment of the former Farmers Bank parking lot
- Funding: $350,000 Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF) through the Cortland Community Foundation
Mosquito Creek Lake Improvement Projects
- Reclaim ½ of parking lot for green space, picnic tables and seating area, construction of restrooms to connect downtown Cortland with Mosquito Lake, enhancing recreation and tourism.
- Funding: $404,000 secured in the State Capital Budget (with Sen. O’Brien’s support)
Safety Services Complex
- Construction of a modern, possibly combined fire, police, and service facility to improve public safety, compliance, and workforce readiness.
- Funding: $2.15 million from SCIF (secured), $4.5 million pending in the 2026 federal budget (with Rep. Joyce’s support), and $500,000 in local levy savings leveraged toward a $3.1 million loan.
Salt Dome
- Construct new foundation and salt dome
- Funding: $75,000 Ohio EPA, City of Cortland to be determined
